I want to make a chipper, need photo's

I'd like to make a wood chipper, nothing too awful stupid, just an overgrown homeowner unit or so, but pics of a commercial would work too. Could you lucky owners please provide me with some photo's, I think what I need most is photo's of the flywheel shredder/blower unit. It'l be manual feed. 6 inch would def. be the max. Any help would greatly be appreciated. :cheers:

Home Plans

It you want a nice home unit to chip up to a 5" capacity, see this link for a nice home built one with plans. http://www.bedair.org/Projects/chipper7.html

It looks like the guy put a lot of thought in to it. Home units just take a long time if you have more than just a dozen branches or so to chip.

There are plenty of photos on the web of commercial units, but I don't think that will be of much help if you are building one from scratch.

Yea, he designed and built a nice unit, I wonder what a unit like that is worth in real terms. Let me know if you build it how much time and money you have in it.

Or you can wait for China to build it.

Will do, Gonna have to find somthing I can use for the cutter wheel first. Looks like that's gonna take some time. Neighbor has a little 5hp unit I've never seen run in the 9 years I've known him. Deal time maybe?
