I just watched an episode of Smallville (GREAT SHOW ) where they used a hank of 5/8 rope to attach to a bumper to pull the victims dangling from a bridge.

Har! It was a pretty rope, brand-spanking new. They had it deployed in 10 seconds. Just like my groundies...

Smallville! The studio where they film the bulk of the show is next door to us in burnaby. Heh, try firing up a chipper when they are about to shoot, they don't like that much.

I was talking to a company that said they go looking for a free lunch when the movie or TV crews fire up to shoot. " want us to be quiet for 15 to 30? feed my crew....", sounds like it works well... the loop in Shaughnessy seems to be popular.
