I just found out today that my forestry professor from Rutgers died back in August:

I wish I had the opportunity to learn from him. He sounds like a passionate man. One of those guys you would want to just listen to and hold onto every fact or bit of information.

How was the forestry program there? I am desperately trying to find a school to take classes from, but I live near Philadelphia.

They've done away with their traditional forestry program, and now run an exclusively urban forestry program. I left NJ before they started it up, so I'm not sure how it is, but the class titles and descriptions look great.

Jason Grabosky is the main dude over there for UF. His should be a familiar name to those who read the Journal of Arboriculture and UF.

There are at least 2 excellent Arbo degree programs in the WI tech college system. You may start looking there
