I'm having a complex...

I've seen the 441 dual dogs, they look nice.

I've seen the 361 dual dog setup, but they look a little stubby... not so sure how much I like them.

Whats the thought on making 441 dogs fit on the 361? Over kill?

Or

Whatever man, its your saw, mangle it how you please:chainsaw:

Been there done that... the dual dawg kit will more than suffice on the 361. Somewhere on here I have posted pictures of my 361 with 660 dawgs on it.

They are overkill.

dawgs...they can be too big

I totally agree with Gary. I also looked into going bigger on my 036. The stock doubles work better than I thought....haven't found a need for more "grab" so far.

I like these in that they keep my 24" bar tip off the ground. And I do run this saw in light timber. For less than standing timber or firewood, then yeah, they'd be overkill.

Don't get dogs for the looks.

Nice dawgs!..... but I think I fell in love with your 3/4 wrap bars! Do you mind sharing the story on those? (I assume that is your 361)

Gas had it right. Big dawgs imo r for when you need something extra to hold a giant bar sideways inna cut with big bark. Big saws, big wood. Otherwise, why bother, be happy wit what ya got and don't use em as pry bars. Just my opine but everyone I know with giant dogs tends ta use them as fulcrums for their saws..............well.........not only do they bog 'em down but I think (just me opinion) that some efficiency is lost by not having the power head closer..maybe some safety issues too, GAH! It ain't the size but the motion!

They're supposed to be a fulcrum. That's the idea of dogging in. But you're right, most guys do pull too hard, and with dull chains. Their saws bog down. Properly done, with a sharp chain, and a saw in it's powerband, a dogged saw can be swept through an entire backcut with one hand, and no back strain.

So you have come to your senses, finally......:greenchainsaw:

I actually run my 361 without dogs at all, most of the time (15" and 18" bars)........

It's all about the application, as usual.:deadhorse:

Yah, ditto here. Forget the dawgs. Let 'em out. But that 3/4 wrap... high drool factor. My girlfriend is a lefty. Wood come in handy.

3/4 wraps for an 036...

Sorry guys! I guess I missed something!?
I went back and read the thread again, and I didn't find what I was wanting.
I have been unable to find 3/4 wrap bars that fit the 036....just wondering where you got yours. Maybe you didn't agree that those were 3/4 instead of full wraps....I dunno?! I've got 3/4 's on my 440, and fulls on my 048.....find them pretty handy sometimes.
