There is a row of cedars on a round about driveway and three of them are in decline, apparently for almost ten years. My belief is that it is the soil compaction from the driveway and adjoining areas. The healthiest tree has green lawn on other side of trunk from driveway(least compaction). What I am asking for here is some guidance or tips from anyone who has done root excavations using one of those tree air spades. And if so what were the results. thanks in advance
