insulated pex

Was getting snow melt over my lines, broke down this weekend and bought 180 feet of the thermo pex line, hope my wood consumption goes down this year......whats other think

I haven't seen the insulated stuff. Did you have to take a class before you could buy it?

IT will help a bunch. I insulated a 1/2 inch line for a feed to a mud room. big difference on return temp of water. This line was just thrum the heated basement. The pump is a bit large, the water is returned back to the boiler a little quick.

buy yourself some of the thermometers that use springs to hold to the pipes and watch your temps. You will learn some interesting things.

Unfortunately I just can't go to a wood boiler here. Live on the prairie and wood is in short supply. Have to keep paying the gas man.

i have yet to try any but a buddy of mine just told me about aquapex,he claims that it is a third again better than regular pex guarding against freezing and breaking
