After reading the thread on damaged rental equipment i began thinking about something my vehicle insurance carrier told me. If your vehicle is insured "Which it better be" then your trailer is only covered for the liability it it hits anothers property. Most insurance Companies offer a seperate policy to cover comprehensive and Theft though If your vehicle is covered thru them. My policy on a 2800.00 trailer runs 11.28 a year and they will Replace the trailer with a new one if something happens to it. Pretty good deal considering on my equipment insurance they wanted 95.00 a yr.
