Apparently Great-Grampaw was cutting down an old dead oak out in his field a long time ago and stopped halfway through the cut! An old Homelite bar was stuck in the tree with a chain. Grampaw must'v got the saw stuck and unbolted the bar and gave up! Wish I could've got a picture of the tree before it was finished off. I have no idea where the saw is now. It's an 18" bar with "HOMELITE" across it. Dad and my Uncle were cutting the tree up, and I found it before they burnt the logs. I have it hanging out in the shed, looks pretty cool.:) I'm surprised I didn't find any other small engines and stuff, as his garage used to be packed full of tillers, mowers, saws back in the late 60's. I have no idea where all that stuff went.:blob2:

your post gives the impression he has passed on.brings mental pictures to mind. kinda wonder if piossibly he may have been meaning to come back and get it,but his health possibly failed at that time. just a thought.

Unfortuneatly, he has. About a month ago. I really miss going to his house. It was sold about two or three weeks ago.:( That's about the only memory I have of him, along with some old handtools.
