Anyone know anything about this model? I'm going to look at one tomorrow morning. It's got a loader on front and backhoe on rear. It needs a little tlc. Has some hydraulic leaks, weak clutch, and "swing valve" for backhoe needs work. That's what I'm told. Runs good other than those flaws and can still be used as it currently sits. Anyone know how hard it is to change out the clutch for a fairly mechanically inclined person? There are some new ones on ebay under $300. Also I'm not real sure right now what the "swing valve" needs. At $2000 I feel like I can't go wrong.... Any input on this tractor would be appreciated.

International tractors of that vintage are getting very hard to find parts for. If you find the parts, they are usually pretty expensive.
As far as the clutch goes, I think you have to split the tractor in half. After that, it is not too difficult a job. I might be thinking about the wrong tractor model, but that is what I seem to remember.

You will need to split the tractor to replace the clutch. I am not familiar with how the loader is mounted on that model, but I suspect it must come off first. Be sure to check the pivot points as well as the hoses, etc. as I recall this model had a rack on top of the engine that controlled the swing arm, most are worn and welded.

I think this hoe was based on the 616 tractor, which could make it 50 years old.

So by the sounds of it, it's a bigger job than I was expecting. I had no idea the tractor had to be split to replace the clutch.

I have split a couple. Just need a bunch of blocking for one side, and a good skyhook for the other.

I think that would be my biggest struggle... Is the weight of a lot of the parts. I don't have the proper equipment and tools to handle the big/heavy parts.
