No idea where it came from, but I've heard it from different parts of the country.

Interesting, around here it's got the nickname "School Ma'rm".

If the bed of your pickup resembles a dumpster....

I say I'm redneck....without the racial overtones.

Dang crackers moving in across the street, next thing you know there will be dirty kids running around and broke-down cars on the lawn!

If you do, just don't say you do tree care

I admire your exceptionalism JPS.

You wouldn't believe how many midwest and east coast climbers come to CA and look at me as if I'm crazy when I tell them they have to prune that 150 foot sugargum euc with no spikes.

They all end up working for hacks spiking everything and getting zero city, county, or high end residential and commercial work.

Sad but true. And they're mostly young, in their twenties, brimming with youth and energy!

We do not have the growing conditions for those heights, but I've been in some 100 ft pines (very cool codom white spruce on Thursday, last.) thought he spreads can be several properties wide. We do get some large trees of terracotta roofs around here, green ash  holds onto every little dead twin, and that is the only time I man glad that it does

Very few gaffer companies these days, and a lot of the younger crowd are into advanced systems. The WAA and DNR are very active in the industry, thanks to the vendors supporting the events.

Partial removals and line of site toppings on bluffs where you need to keep the trees there are the only time will gaff a tree that will remain when I leave. Though i try to convince people to do coppice work on LOS jobs.

I differentiate LOS from true vista pruning because I do not see LOS as tree care, more of a forestry management thing. Some of these bluffs should not have tall trees on them anyways due to degree of slope.
