I got here late today but.... WELCOME! RB. The forum is about professional tree care but that should never preclude part-timers or interested amatuers from participating.- The guys who just started and are now ready to tell us all WE are clueless deserve a bit of grief-we just have to watch that it doesn't spill onto the innocents.

I’m glad you guys get all the stupid question the one I get most often is “would you like to come inside for a piece of pie”

And you say, I'll take "a la mode" :blob2:

I get the same question, only never anything about pie.

Must be your pretty face, Mike:rolleyes:

30 yrs ago, the first guy I worked with, told me about working in SF! He was a lineman/phone repair guy or similar. He had more than a few experiences with interesting characters. The "best" was the little old lady who called often with some problem or the other. She always answered the door...stark neekid....go get 'er MM

"You sure know what you're doing!"

"Can I give you a $100 tip?"

To be truthfull, the last has only happened once... ;)

Heh, heh, heh...I'm up on you on that one MB. I have gotten $100 tips several times. Last month I got my biggest tip yet, $200. Customer also gave each of my 2 groundmen $50 tips.
This was on a $2000 job. Must be my good looks and charm. :D

So, what kinda climbing gear do ya have?

Right now the only gear I've got is these arms, legs, etc. Working on getting in better shape at the moment. Funny thing is, before I started visiting AS, I might have thought a guy like TC was a good person to learn from. Now I know that spiking a tree for pruning=not cool (among many other things). I have been monitoring the site concerning gear and the pros and cons of different saddle types and other things. Also when I buy I will purchase new. That just makes sense, the seller is obviously getting rid of his gear for a reason. No telling what his rig has been through. Anyway, thanks for all the great advice from everyone. AS has replaced ebay as my most favorite site! Later, Roger.
