Get a loan with no pre repayment fee and pay it off on the first installment

I wouldn’t do business with a dealer who did that .
Not sure why you would not do the loan and first installment pay off. Have a friend whose home my wife and I have stayed in who is a Ford dealer. Several years ago we bought a new F150 4x4 and he told me flat out that he could bring down the price by about two grand if I went with a loan on the whole thing and paid it off after 30 days. OK. He dropped the price and we paid it all off at 30 days with no penalty. It has something to do with the plan the bank had that it would be screwing us out of a lot more than two grand in interest if we took the full five years to pay off the loan. Perhaps most buyers who take out the big loan do not learn of the ability to pay after 30 days or just end up not wanting to spend all that cash. It worked for us.

That was my advice too . Pay it off first payment you will get hit with some interest on the principle for the 30 days.

Wish I got paid in cash for machine shop services, Always a company check. I tend to pay in cash but the Internet purchases are always CC. Harbor Freight is on their CC and I buy enough at one time to qualify for X months, same as cash no finance charge.

I finance farm equipment so long as it's 0 percent financing.

It's said..'There is no romance to the finance'...
I do not insult the machine shops here with checks or plastic. I pay them in dead presidents.

We were still on the gold standard when I was a little kid. My dad gave me 1 dollar a week for my allowance. It was every Saturday. I took that dollar up to the Main St. Variety store. It bought a model car, a tube of model glue and a sling-shot. On the way home, I stopped at the Village Cleaners and bought a bottle of pop and a candy bar from the vending machines with the change left over. And we never heard of inflation. That would have meant something like putting air in my bike tire.

So you remember when air was clean, sex was dirty and gay meant to have a good time. And now we can say when inflation meant to fill a tire.

Well I grew up and I am still in Illinois with no hair on my head and gray on my face but I will say if you got........."a model car, a tube of model glue and a sling-shot. On the way home, I stopped at the Village Cleaners and bought a bottle of pop and a candy bar from the vending machines with the change left over."......all for $1 you were doing good. That is not the Illinois I have known.

As to cash, The town dump which is a transfer station for dumping does not take cash. The guy offered to take cash and use his personal card in the event someone was stubborn or had no card.

Do you get cash back from everything somehow I got the idea the town has 50 cents a swipe deal. For the fees.

Is this because the workers take bribes to dump from out of town or unacceptable stuff ?

That honestly hadn't been something I considered. Guys come in with a trailer full of debris some goes into bulky waste, they may tell you to put the tires in the tire place etc, the guy has to figure out how much then make change and the line backs up. That is what they told me when the policy went into effect. If someone from out of town wants to dump in Mansfield or put hazardous waste, they probably would be better off choosing another town in my estimation. It does legal tender for all debts public and private on the bills.

Our town dump we get coupons for trash . X amount per 50 gallon bag for household garbage and recycle is unlimited with a permit .
Yard waste like brush and leaves are free also . $10 per appliance and they take cards or checks no cash because I’m sure it would disappear. Any company/town entity can refuse cash as long as they have their policy posted in a prominent place .
Nowhere on a bill does it say a person has to take it as payment .
“This note is legal tender for all debts public and private “ just means it can be used in lieu of gold or silver which was the standard of money .

Since this is in the chainsaw section. Husqvarna has a lot of product that can be bought point and click. The promotions are more than saving credit card fees cash incentive. There are promotions right now see what no cash is needed for. Parts too on line.

maybe they can imbed a hyperlink in the next batch to make it clearer.

I paid a truck off before my first payment, or I made one payment IDK, and it was supposed to be a no prepayment penalty loan. I got ripped for like 1600.00 with some BS they said that made no sense.

There's still some places that will do cash deals/ discounts around here, but it's getting rare. A lot more places are adding in the credit card fee/ transaction charges to the bill around here too. That used to just be figured into purchase price and if someone asked for the cash rate they got a few % knocked off the bill.
