Recently acquired a red and white Homelite Super EZ Automatic. I believe it is a 1974???
Anyways, the chain on it barely fits with the tensioner turned all the way out. So I compared it with a 3/8 chain I have off my Mac since they are both 59 DL. The Mac chain is 3/8 050 gauge while this chain seems to be 040 gauge. I've never actually had in .404 so I'm not sure if this is what this chain is. There is about an inch and a quarter difference when laid out side by side.

Thank in advance.
Btw, this is my first post, not sure if pics uploaded correctly.

Don't see any photos.
Pitch: the distance between the chain's drive links.
Gauge: the width of the groove where the chain fits into the bar.
One of the chains could be stretched out and ready to be replaced.
