Is this a Stihl 034?

Recoil cover definitely looks like a 064, but i have never seen a 034 so i cant say for sure.

O.K. not 034/036 , no screw on top of cyl to hold cyl shroud. AF cover different too.

The guy hasn't ran it in 6 years. I'll see if I can get it fired up, sounds like he couldn't but he did also leave old mix in it! Dumb dumb! He wants 300. If he can't get it fired maybe I'll just low ball him. Could I figure out model from ser#?

Check some part numbers on AF cover. 064 will be 1122 140 1001, or 1122 140 1900, or 1122 140 1901

066 uses some of the same AF covers but cyl cover is different as it has decomp

That saw is definitely an 064 and not an 034 (I have both) and its worth (in running condition) $300 all day long...
The 064 saws weigh just slightly more than a MS460, and have nearly the power of an 066, great old saws they are!:msp_wink:

Thanks for all your help guys. I was looking for a bigger saw to compliment my 260 pro but was thinking the 034 was a little small for that. And I didn't think that's what it was anyway. I'm looking forward to buying this saw and getting her all cleaned up for another 25 years of use!
