Is Willow tree wood good for burning in a wood stove?

Personally I don't burn willow but I know a lot do. If I cut it I leave it for the woodpeckers to get bugs from. Same with sycamore. Seems like you get more ash than hear to me.

Definitely split and get off the ground. I left a bunch off big rounds sitting through summer and they were pretty rotten by fall. It burns . Mix it in.
