The way I looked at it: I wanted to make my own notes in the material, underline what I felt was relevant, etc. Yeah, you'll pop for a tidy sum, but you'll get back hundreds, if not thousands, of more dollars as a return on your investment. I don't regret buying the new books. I popped for the CA study guide and the Utility Specialist guide. They both helped me pass the tests, although the Utility guide is not that great.
