Got the Jonsey 111s in the mail today. Mailman: "You trying to kill me?"

First report looks very good. The recoil spring is shattered and the compression is reasonable, so I wasn't sold a blown saw. It hasn't been used in a long time, it's filthy, and I think the air cleaner was last looked at around the time Jefferson Starship broke up. Came with a 24" Windsor sprocket bar running 3/8" chain at about 50%. Seems kind of small for a monster like this.

Not so bad for $48 shipped.

I think I had some funny magic working for me. The 111s proudly sports the original sales sticker that says, "Lambert's Power Equipment". Go figure.

I don't know about a full restoration, but I'm going to clean her up and replace the bad parts. That'll have to wait until I can get my other ducks in a row. Not quite what I'll cut with it around here. Most suburban trees will tip right over if you just show them a 6.7 cube saw. :)

Here's the only photo I have so far.

good luck w/that 111 John, Would bet that saw would cut the piano? C'mon John, clean it up real good, replace the bad parts, oil and gas it, set up the camera, and then just, cut the piano.
OKay, I can see this is not working, John in MA, sell Video clips man, what is that MPEG?, yea, that's it, 5 to see the 111 cut the piano? Kinda of like Pay Per View, ...wright? I'm in. :blob2:

From time to time pianos show up in the classified ads for free. Seems people get tired of 'em and want 'em gone. Next time I see one I'll take out the metal parts then it's saw food!

DO it! cut the piano, or the couch. Nah the piano would make more of a visual impact.
