I used to grease all my bar tips. Don't really anymore. Heck the bar that came with my ms400 doesn't have a hole in it. Figure there's enough bar oil working it's way down in there to keep it lubed up.
Same here. I think the grease gets flung out immediately anyways. However, I will hit them with a little penetrating oil before storage to prevent rust.
 
My Echo 18"is 72 DL.

Yes, when I put the Oregon bar on, I used the same chain and it works fine.

As noted, it was one drive link off on my ECHO 16 inch bar, designed, I assume, to send people back to their ECHO dealer for replacement chains.

I've had that on other Echo's (like my 352, 57 DL not 56). Makes it a little tougher to find chains but not all that difficult as long as you know what you need.
 
The 4910 jammed the bar tip twice again today. Seems to happen when I noodle with it. Got it freed up both times but quite frustrating. Reckon I'll be shopping for a new bar soon.
