Need information on what to check if the power does not go to the drive wheels.
Is there a safety lever that might have gotten turned on.
It worked well last month but has been sitting.
does anyone have a wiring diagram willing to share.
thanks in advance

is the 6h a boom lift or a large scissor lift. If you can come up with a basic description and specs, I have all the manuals and can probably help you out.

Chainsawcircus , thanks for the reply, hard to fix the barn roof when you cannot move the machine LOL
This is a JLG60H telescopic boom lift with basket . I did not get the 60 right.
it has deutz engine .I can get more specs when I get out to the farm today
Thanks again,
Amy

usually you can go to jlg.com and find wiring schematics. Or get their number off their website and they will help you out. Just have your model and serial number handy if you do call. the 60h, I am not familiar with, I have worked on the s series, and the sjp series, but never a h series.

Okay, Thanks for the information.
This is a BIG lift and we got it used without any manuals . Haven't had the camera handy but I will get the numbers and try the jlg site.

I am assuming its an electric over hydraulic unti? does the machine start & booms function?

If this is a counter weight machine, cradle everything up & reset the computer (if equipped) if Im not mistaken there is a brake sensor/stop sensor which engages & wont let the machine move if it senses out of level or a hazardous condition!!

the worse thing for these machines is not using them.........letting anything operated electrically sit will give you problems!

things to check would be hydraulic fluid levels, on the drive motors should be a bleeder...crack it & see if its getting fluid! ohh.... check wiring, if its rubbed to the point of sheathing coming off it may be a short/ground out problem?

Good luck hope this helps!

Been a while since I worked on one of these, but good point above. Make sure the telescoping boom is all the way in, if it is run it in and out, if the machine will let you. Make sure it is transport position, full in. Any lights or buzzers going off?

finally some photos

the machine starts , boom functions
one of the leveling devises was stuck for a while so one "leg" was short

remembering having to tramp the pedal to get it going
checked all the visible wiring for rubs
checked hydraulic level,View attachment 205064View attachment 205065View attachment 205066View attachment 205067 okay
serial number 00 838 0300018337
model 60H deutz air cooled engine
it would move even with the boom not in the transport position before.
a great lift when it is working.
now we have snow so our project is on hold any way
thanks for all your in put
I will keep you posted when we figure it out

the drive system is hydraulic motors? if so......check at the line for fluid by cracking a fitting (do not put hands in there) have someone see if when engaged a fine mist should spray out....if not it might be a proportional valve to the motors is stuck or just bad!

usually these go bad & either work wide open or dont open at all, good luck!
