I may be naive but is this industry still a viable option in ontario canada. I will be graduating from college next summer and I want to work in this industry in ontario canada but it doesnt seem like there is much options for me to get into the industry. Everyone wants years of experience"? unless its davey or hydro which are hard to get into

Start as a groundie and work your way up, there are lot's of private companies that are always looking for employees come spring time, google tree services around you, or look in the yellow pages. Yeah depends, what course are you graduating from? Where in Ontario are you?

I had two friends go to Fleming and take their Arborist course (forget the correct name). Both of them got jobs pretty quickly after graduating last year (in Ontario).

the course is called Arboriculture, im in it now at fleming. just doing my summer co-op. you gotta find a busy private company or try to get on w either hydro or a municipality. maybe start your own gig. lots of hacks where we live i know that much. might take a couple diff companies to find the right one. good luck with arb, are you going to start urban forestry in sept?

Thats it. Is there a lot of pregnant women in that school? That seems to be all I see when I drive through Lindsay.

Haha there are NO WOMEN that attend the school leaving me very unmotivated and less distracted which suck! Lindsay is a freakin dive! Lots of teen moms, welfare and disability cases, crack heads annnnnnd Tim hortons lol

I generally only go there on the way to my cottage.. stop and get food. I think they have the highest teen pregnancy rate on Ontario.

Isnt there a strip club in Orillia? I think ive driven past it, and it looks pretty rough.

Been closed for last 4-5 years, Lost the liquor license, then building inspector condemned it! First was the pole, then the stage, then well ya know the rest of the stinkin joint! :msp_tongue:
