hmmmmm wonder if a cs62 head and piston will bolt up to the cs56??? now there is a thought!! but only after I run the 56 ragged!
So, does anyone know if there are any more CS62's out there? I'm pretty disappointed I missed out on snagging one in Nov. for $325.

I saw a CS62 for 400 bucks somewhere online but it only had the 18" bar. Think it was Bridgeport
the cs40 weighs 9.5lbs according to JD I would think the 290 probably goes 12lbs or better. So I'd say the cs40 would work good for your interests.
Pretty sure all the "new" John Deeres are made by Efco.

Are all the Deere saws made by Efco? and would the CS40 make a good back up/beginner saw? My MS290 is just a little heavy for my oldest daughter to run comfortably.
