I know all of you who have bid on saws on ebay get the scam artists trying to sell you new saws at rock bottom prices. Well I had one today take the cake. He offered to sell me a new 088 for $590. I told him to send pics and the serial number. He quickly send back some awesome pics but no serial number. The problem is the pictures are Lambert's. How stupid does he think I am. I am going to screw with him some more. I will post the pic below. I just wanted to point this out and see how many others the guy contacts. He of course never gives his ebay ID.

Hi Bill, that's good to hear. The way I look at it, while this smuck is shooting himself in the foot, he is drawing attention to the fact I sell the Real McCoy, so let's continue to let him take a long walk off a short dock since an 088 @ 590.00 is a fairy tale at any currency. Thank's for the heads up though Bill.

Hey Gypo, the saw guy down here says 088's will eventually burn up if you run less than 36" bars on them; And of the three people I've known with 088/084's, to this day, they don't run.

Was he telling me the truth?

I have ran lots of them stock and nitro saws, never had a problem and there crankshaft is fair better than the other big saw

Hi Butch, other than the fact that a stock 088 is a club unless the muffler is opened, 250,000 users can't be wrong.
The most hammered fisted woodtick I ever saw used an 088 with a 17" bar to slice and dice firewood commercially couldn't puff the behemoth. He called it his, 17" French Frier. Ken Dunn now owns that saw, so just ask Ole Ken if he ever comes out of the citrus grove.

wish u could somehow get this sellers id toall of us.. we need to spread the wd about any con men [thieves ] on ebay..

You know you spend too much time on AS when you recognize gypo's deck railing and trees in his backyard. When they post the picture of your saws and the christmsa tree, we'll have to say enough is enough and hunt them down. Heres one of my favorite screen savers, courtesy of Senior Geepo'

You should be able to contact e-bay with the sellers e-mail. Their security department should help, especially if the pics are Gypo's.
Its worth a try to atleast ask e-bay.

I know I have a problem. Is there a 12 step program to fix it.

It is a fraud ring that use multipile emails. I have received the same template several times in the last few weeks. There was even one that tried to sell me a Husky sewing machine because they noticed I was outbid on a new 395XP. I emailed them back and told them if they were going to run a good scam they should at least proofread their emails. I plan on contacting ebay after I have a little more fun with them.

I have been trying to contact E-Bay on a member that pulled a stanley hydraulic pruner off the auction because the bids were only up to $126.50. That member( 3ongoldenpawn) then contacted me and tryed to sell it to me for $325 plus shipping. It has been over 3 weeks and E-bay has not done anything about it yet.
 I have e-mailed them about five times now.

ebay makes their money off of the seller, not the buyer. Who do you think they will side with most of the time? I've reported shill bidders and the same stuff you did and they just ignore it.
