Does anyone have any experience with the Jonsered 2054? I was fooling around with one today in the wood pile and was pleasantly surprised.

I don't think they are importing that one anymore. They jump from 50cc to 59cc.I personally never got to try one. But, I believe that if there is a "sweet spot" in all around chain saw size, it is more like 55cc than 50cc.
I'm not surprised to hear the 2054 runs well.

I've got a 2055, which is about the same saw, just ported a little wilder. Actually, I'd probably be better off with the 2054. While it has a tiny bit less overall HP, the torque curve is a bit flatter and more forgiving...a lot better all-round saw for most people.
If you stay focussed on the torque peak and finesse your way through bigger cuts to keep the rev's up, that little saw will amaze. It loses absolutely nothing to my 670 in the 12" and under diameter range.
