Jonsered 525 base needle settings

Not in that saw......the only other possiblity is a crack or hole in the oil tank or a bad joint where the top and bottom case halves are joined

Check the cylinder allen screws and make sure none have loosened.....

Does the saw smoke alot when you start it? more than you remember?

No, it doesn't seem to smoke any more than normal. I would imagine a leak of 30wt engine oil in the crankcase would probably foul the plug real quick.
