As for the brochures, the file size is pretty big, so I guess I reduced it a little too much. I just looked into it, and I guess AS automatically changes the size, which makes it unreadable. If anybody wants larger versions, just send me your email and I can send them to you.
The 110 kb one is easily readable at 250% - the text is just a bit blury.

See my posts from two weeks ago . . . . . . . . . :hi:

Lol...wasn't discounting you, Dean. But you weren't exactly bight eyed and bushy tailed...you clicked 'buy' in a moment of weakness and tried to get your money back once you realized what you got. I even tried to make up a story around the purchase of your 111s, but you wouldn't have any of it....lol!

Given that so many parts for the 111S are unobtainium, you probably need to start with another, better saw. We're still rootin' for ya though!

I stumbled on this nice little 52E today, and I know some of you will appreciate it. It runs but needs a fuel line and filter.

Almost perfect except the small casting up on the chain brake handle is broken in half. Would anyone be able to help me with that part?

Dayum........that is the nicest 52 I think I've ever seen......good score!!! I'll look around at the shop and what I have for that casting.....might have one on a bent handle or something.......

Looking at the handlebar I'm trying to remember if these ever came just painted with no plastic grip covering. It doesn't look like the previous owner cut the plastic cover off, but I guess it's possible. I don't have any IPLs for the 52e which may tell the story.

I think I found a brake handle at Sawagain that will get me fixed up. Thank you.

Since I'm posting pics, I'll throw up the latest installment of my old brochure picture show.
There are some interesting changes from the 51 discussed in the ad. New cylinder design, new chainbrake.

If you look at the post quoted by taplinhill above, (the original is on page 213) you can see the wrap on the handlebar on the 52E in the ad.

Yes most of the pictures I have seen show the wrap on the bar, but wondered if any of these came from the factory with a bare painted handlebar. The saw has had so little use that I'd be surprised if someone cut the plastic wrapper off.

I had 2 49sp's. I bought from the original owner, 1 had handle bar wrap and the other did not. The plain handle looked stock.
