Generally they aren't all that valuable unless in pristine condition. They are the direct ancestor of the 621 and as such a number of parts swap from the 621 to the 601. Like points/condensor, carb, coil etc. Great saws to run even though they don't have AV. Their big brother the 751 is rarer and harder to find...but again not that well known and as so don't command a huge following. NOS Parts for either are real hard to find due such a short production runs........751 only ran from 1968-1970 and the 601 ran from to 1969-1972 when it became the 62 then the 621........the 751 just went away. Regular used 601's bring a couple hundred on ebay usually........but very nice saws....I enjoy running mine from time to time.....really quite smooth for no AV.
