Hi all,
New to posting on this site, but I've learned tons just reading strings. I have several saws to maintain my property and cut 8-10 chord/year to heat my cabin, home, and my son's home. Some of my saws are MS390, MS261, and jonsered CS 2152. I loved my 2152, but somehow my son blew the drive shaft. Local repair shop tells me it will be more cost effective to replace than to repair, but I would like to rebuild it myself as a hobby/learning experience. I have downloaded the service manual off the web, and it appears that I will need some special tools for splitting the case, ect. I will also need an illustrated parts break down so I can order the required replacement parts.
So.....can I do this on my own? Is it tough? What tools do I actually need other than normal shop tools? Where can I get those tools? Where can I get the replacement parts?
Thanks
