question what do you guys think of the jonsered 2171..i need a saw in the 65- 85 cc bracket do you have any recomendations apart from sthil or husky saws.... thanks for any replies

2171 Jonsered is pretty much the same saw as a 372 Husky. The only real difference as far as I can see is that the 2171 doesn't come with the high airbox cover and big pleated filter. Since Husky/Jonsered saws now have the turbo air ckeaning that takes a lot of the dirt out of the air before it even gets to the airbox, I'm not sure if there is an advantage to the larger filter anyway.
I'm a Jonsered fan, but that may change as I'm a little burnt up at my nearest J. Dealer...long story, but moraal might be to buy from the shop that makes you happy, not just shop brand. Husky, Stihl, Jonsered, Efco, Dolmar, Solo, Echo...all probably good enough to get the job done!

Yes, they are the same engine. They just have different color, top, and side covers.
