I really have an itch to fill the void between my 036 and 460. I want to try either the Jonsred 670 or an echo 670. I am not sure why but i think ya-all understand. I have a lot of stihls and want to give something else a try. I know the specs on the saws but I'm looking for first hand user info. I don't care much about power head weight because almost all my cutting is bucking firewood. I like the extra saw weight, I think it makes for faster bucking. My question is will either of these saws give me more grunt than my 036. I would think the extra displacement should help but would like to hear what those who have used these saws think.

Performance wise, the Jonsered is in front of the Echo with no problem. The Echo is a very good saw, reliable but slower than the Jonny.

Yep, about .4 kW/.5 hp slower, and some rpms......;)

The 036/360 is inbetween.

The 036/360 is quite a bit lighter than the others.......

Ray I have had a Jonsered 670 champ for 9 years and love it. Never ran the other 2 saws. I keep a 24" bar on it. Have ran a 36" on it. Handles it but don't get in a hurry. Since joining this site have purchased a Makita 7901. Jonsered 670 is a good solid all around saw.

Good call Ken, the 670 is a legend.

Not to highjack this thread, but Sawtroll do you know if the Husky 390 is available with a heated wrap handle?
