This may of come up before or maybe its just common
sense (I did'nt have at the time) I drilled holes in MS260 MC
yesterday and cut limiter tab of H screw cap (it has no L cap)
It looked like it would be allot easier to pull the carb
I have pulled a few 026 carbs, takes just a few min.
WELL the new 260 really holds tank pressure. Pulled the
fuel line off........Holy Cow it shot a stream of fuel out.
I don't know how far it would have gone because it hit
the lid of my open roll around tool box that was about two feet
away and was still shooting fuel by the time I put my finger
over the end of the hose! Only had a 1/4 of a tank of fuel
in it.........I think that made it worse, more room for pressure
to build.

So the morel of this story........Open the gas cap before taking the
fuel line off
I all most got a face full of fuel :)

Use a pair of forceps to clamp the line, then put a 4mm bolt into the end before removing the clamp. Don't reply on loosening then retightening the cap - the hose will just start leaking gas everywhere in a few minutes.

I've hads my share of "fuel events"... If you are doing anything other than simple carb work, empty the tank...

Cold, saw starts and runs one pull almost every time.
I think the tank pressure really helps. Its like it is fuel injected
