No time for action shots but here's some stumps.

1 10" DBH Arborvitae
5 18" - 40" DBH Catalpas
1 36" Spruce
2 28" Elms

With the exception of the arborvitae everything was climbed and rigged. 3 of the 5 catalpas had serious canopies over the two houses and wires. The spruce was easily pushin' the 110 foot mark and we used it as what I believe is called a gin pole to speed line the severely dead and rotten elms off the garage. The catalpas were very rotten as you can see from the first two stumps but even the ones with decent looking stumps had some rot issues above ground. I gotta go back and do all the stumps out front but the elms and the small catalpa behind the garage weren't in the contract. I really need to start getting some before pics. lol

1 full day of climbing and chipping for 4 guys. I climbed 3 of the five catalpas and both the elms. My bro did the spruce and 2 other catalpas. Other than having to chunk down the spruce and a small pile of rakings all that was left for the next day was the wood.

These were the two elms in rough shape behind the garage sprawling way out over it's tin roof. We had about a 15 foot drop zone to land the speedline because of a brand new lawn next door that we couldn't make a mess of. They were a pain to say the least. All the wood was diced up, loaded and hauled to my buddies OWB. 6 large trailer loads of wood, 6 loads of chips and 1 chip truck full of sawdust, leaves, and general finish raking debris was the final tally. Trees down and chipped first day and we were out by 1 pm on the second day after hauling the wood. And here's one final shot from the street.

I'd say, kind of anticlimactic ,almost like saying you had a great dinner but all we get to see is dirty dishes!:greenchainsaw:

Lol. I told you it was just another day in the office. When it comes down to go time I tend to do nothing but go; pictures are the last thing on my mind. Frankly I can't quite figure out how everybody else seems to get these awesome shots, I just don't have the time, and when I do I'm not working.

You need a pix/vid groundie, lol

You need to put something in your pictures to give a point of reference. The stumps could be 6" or 6' but you can't tell just by looking at the stump in the picture. Stick your saw or something of known size on the stump.

Me and just the one guy that climbs for me took down 5 trees today. 1 double trunk and 1 triple trunk. Took about 8 hours including driving time and lunch.

4 were sweet gums ranging from 15" to about 24" and one was a mulberry I think probably 14" or so. The triple had 2 sweet gums and the mulberry and the double was both sweet gums.

All with just a 24' trailer for the wood (two trips), ASV RC30 skid steer, 6'x12' trailer for the brush all neatly slashed down. Man do I need a chipper.
