Here's the after picture.

Note the custom handlebar. I'd like to make the brace the extends to the upper spike mount, but other than that they're pretty nice. Nice cushioned grip. With my short fingers, however, it's impossible for me to grip the handlebar and operate the compression release at the same time.

I'll keep this set of handlebars unless I can get a deal on an original set.

Besides the handlebars, the only things wrong with the saw is that the lower shroud is cracked around the choke lever, and the air cleaner cover is incorrect. If anyone has the one I need I'd like to hear from you.

The old bar cover was missing the portion that extend downward with the spike. Looked rather silly like that. Had to replace the choke lever, and the starter ring and dogs (took off an 045).

I left the governor intact since I have no intention of racing with this saw or doing much serious cutting.

One more thing. The starter grip was supplied by stihlman036. Pretty nice. I didn't get around to putting in the section of fuel hose as he suggested. Started raining outside.

I need to do a better job of resizing my pictures. Pixelwise they're kind of small, but they are still rather large files. I know there's a link on the board for a decent program. Need to go search for it.

I just finished the 090 of mine as well.
Here it is with a few of its friends.
Two 056's
Two 044's (Both ported)
One 038 Magnum Brazilian made
The 064 is a friend's who is down working for the Santa Fe hotshots for the summer.
The 272 is also being stored for a friend who is working in Gold Beach For the summer.
More pictures to come if and when I get the Husky 2100 all together.

Hope this one comes out.

Boy, all you guys and your 090s. I don't even have a saw larger than 110cc. Some day I'll be a big boy. :)

Heres another view of the stable.
The 090, the 056 next to it, and the 038 are kinda for show. I dont run them so much. The rest are regular working saws. Mostly for firewood, but I have taken them to work for hazard tree falling.
I typically don't drag 'em in though. The hazard trees we been taken down lately have been left by the B&B Complex fire from last year. Alot of big burned out P.Pine and Doug fir. I use my 064 at work for them. Got a good sized P.Pine to take down early this summer near some private property. It's 58 inches DBH. Gonna love taken that one. Took two 60+ inch P.Pine this last fall and one 75 inch fir at the end of the fire. We'll see what turns up this summer.

Gotta love the THUMP.

Thanks Gypo. That picture quality is what I was originally shooting for. Have to find some time to experiment with my software and/or dig up something else to use.

Smokechaser,

The only modern saw I have is my 066 redlight. After that, there's my 056 Mag. I consider that saw a work saw, as well as my 045 Super. The only ones I would really pass up for a job are the 090, 050, and maybe the 075. For my purposes, they are all outclassed by the 066. Not much large diameter wood around here.

That's alot of full wraps. How'd you get all those together? I had a set on my 056, but I noticed that whenever I flipped the saw bar side up, I'd get the dual-port exhaust in my face.

From where I'm sitting that set of handlebars on your 090 look like they're from a homelite 450 or something like that but with slight alterations to them.

I guess I'm a good ways behind the game here on my collection, I only have 4 saws including my cutoff saw. You guys have some really nice looking machinery there, the color of the saws even matches on most of the saws.
I want to paint my Jred OD green and put some racing stripes on it. that'll be just for fun.

To cbfarmall:

As the fellow said, "Lets see a pic with the chips flying." All I can say is the saw looks really great, home made handles and all. Good work. Lewis.

These handlebars are really big and I doubt they came off a Homey 450. If that saw is anything like my 360, the handlebars would dwarf it.

Thanks Lewis and all others. If I can arrange a picture of the saw in action I will. My brother is pretty handy with my camera. I'll see if I can press him into service.
