I saw this today on the web Big Foot Tools - 75 Degree Head Cutter


it looks like you can make some typ of height adjustable frame, that has "tracks" or slots this could ride in and youd place your log below the rack and lower it to the surface of the log and cut your boards.. maybe?

BTW my mini/rail mill can do angles of between -5 and +15º.

I did this so I could zero out any inherent angle in setting up the mill.

I'd love be able to mill my own wood. I have access to an 1800's circular saw mill but to get the wood on my truck to get it there is a real PITA!!!
Also, The price for cutting it is incredible though so I cant even justify buying a small chainsaw mill....lol

Sorry no vids, I use it mainly to break up slabs etc.
There are some pics of some lumber I cut up with it here.

Making a simple chainsaw mill is pretty simple and inexpensive, if you already have the chainsaw. :hmm3grin2orange:
