Klein and Buckingham spikes

Are the current designs of these spikes what the originals were or have they changed a lot since their beginning?(When was that by the way?)

I know that chain-saws have changed quite a bit. I think my 288 husky had a lot to do with the invention of the decompression valve! :dizzy:
 
I use kliens also great spikes gaffs are set out enough thay dont barkup or kick out as easy as others i think
 
David, no hidden agenda. I have Klein, Buckingham and just recently got the Geckos II. I used Klein for years and thats what I'm most comfortable on. After I get used to the shift of pressure point on the Geckos compared to the Kleins I think I'll like them better. I'm just curious to know what some of the early designs look like?
