I have an Old ForkLift that has a Kohler Twin Cylinder Horizontal Shaft Engine. Possibly a 20hp or so: My Dilemma is that their are not specs. on the housing and no where to be found OTHER than 11790 stamped on the side of the block. I would like to put a new Kohler engine but I do not have any model number to identify this engine.

It has a 3-1/2 to 4-1/2 shaft sticking out of it where a 3-band pulley hooks up to it.

Can someone help me out with a Model Number / Replacement Engine # ?

Greatly Appreciated !

Thanks.

This is a V Twin Kohler Engine

P.T.O. side ( opposite of the flywheel side ) has three band/belt pully drive that attaches to a shaft that sticks out approx. 4inches.

Old engine but time to replace.

Any help will greatly be appreciated !

Should be a Model CH20. Spec# would tell you all the variations I.E. crankshaft dimensions, throttle set up, type of air cleaner etc, etc. Also a Model CH22 would be 22HP and a CH25 would be 25HP.

If you go to http://www.kohlerplus.com/login.asp and click on the enter as a guest link. It will take you to there engine look up section. You can even type in the serch box for the manufacturer of the machine if they sold them alot of a certin spec# engine they should come up. Hope this helps.
