Hello all.
I've had this Lancaster saw for a while and would like to move forward with a restoration. I believe it is a 550 based on the casting underneath the handle support.
I need to identify the bar mount pattern and chain specifications as it is currently just a power-head. Acres Site stated that this saw used a 7/16" chain pitch which I am not familiar with. Ideally I would like to run the bow bar that I usually run on my 056, but that is set up for .375" chain.
Also, I need some advice in regards to the Fairbanks Starter. I have very little experience with these starters outside of replacing friction discs. I believe parts may have been cannibalized from this saw at some point in the past rendering the starter inoperable. It will occasionally grab after 1/2 turn but that is pretty rare. Is there any information or diagrams for this starter available? The motor is a Power Products AH47 which I know was popular with kart racers back in the day.
Thanks for the help! I'm sure I will ask more questions as the resto continues.
