I have been told by several people that the stihl chain is better than the oregon in keeping an edge. How good is the laser chain, any opinions?

I was told laser chain was just rebadged oregon chain. I dont know, just passing on what i was told.
I do have a racechain made of laser and it cuts just fine.;)

Laser chain can be any brand of chain depending on who has it and when they bought it. I was selling it and still have some. The 3/8" reg chain was Windsor chain made using Oregon cutters which I really like but now they have ( last batch I got) started having Carlton label their chain so it's like the A1LM chain. I think the NEW Oregon 72LGX chain is much better, An Oregon factory zone manager told me it was the same hardness as Stihl's. We have aprox 30 loops of Laser 9C72 left (Carlton A1LM) for $11.49 each or in quantites of 10 or more you get an additional 10% off. This offer good while supplies last.

I have used laser chain in the past and it is not bad. Tends to stretch more and definitely needs more sharpening than stihl. I currently run stihl chains on my saws and for the few dollars more I think they are worth the money.
