Following the recipe, I had what appeared to be a really nice dough in the bowl, ready to bench it and cut it. Then I looked at the recipe again and realized I forgot the vanilla AND the egg. I poured in vanilla and whisked an egg in a bowl then poured that in. Then proceeded to mix in, it made a sticky mess for a bit but it all come together after about 20 folds in the bowl. Albeit a bit softer. No matter, to the bench with some dusting flour. Made 15 and popped them in the oven, baked for 14 min. They come out delicious. Just like my parents used to make in the bakery 40 years ago.
