Hey new to AS,
So my local chainsaw guy, the man I've always dealt with, had this like new shindaiwa 757 for sale that I've been eyeing for a few month. Well I bought it. Man did that thing CUT!!! But it wasn't long before I started to get bar burn while cutting white pine at about -10. No biggy, crank the oiler up and back too work. Didn't help. So I hung it up and grab the 372 to finish my day.
Took the saw apart and the oiler seemed fine so I decided that it must be a plugged line. A little low pressure air and some magnesium chips came out...
Turns out somebody had got a little strong arm with the stud nut for the bar, strip the head, and split the oiler vain, darn.
Trip to my dealer(chainsaw) and I had a full refund plus a compensation for time loss(even though I tried to refuse it) and went home with a brand new Domar PS7310, fully gassed and ready to run.
Well had some daylight left so I went round farming with the saw(local expression), and the thing tightened right up, darn. Checked the gas and clear as shine, darn. Pulled the muffler, the cylinder was scrap, darn.
Went and saw my guy and he felt terrible. He rebuilt the saw and said it is like new now. I guess my long winded story is coming around to, should I be worried when I operate this saw? Is like new, new? Or will I always have problems in the future?
