Light weight bars

Once you go to lightweight bars, you'll find it hard to go back. I have a Stihl 28" lightweight bar and it is a far far more comfortable setup that the 25" bar it replaced. I initially choked on the price, but I'd never run a long, heavy bar again without a damned good reason.

Just to follow up, I had a bunch of wind blown learners and hang ups along with one barber chair to clear out a few days ago. I had to get them cleaned up as the little ones are getting out now that it's spring and exploring. I pinched the bar a few times while dropping them and I must say this Sugi must be made from Samurai steel. It's still straight as can be. Very happy with my purchase and the more I run my 461 the more impressed I am with it.

Thanks. I haven't given it anymore thought as I just have to many irons in the fire right now. Ill probably give it a go when I'm not pressed for time.

Very true about the weight. The Sugihara and Tsumura LW bars may not be as light, but they sure are crazy strong bars with hard rails. I think Julian's tests showed the LW Tsumura bars yielded him his best results.

Go on YouTube and check out the chainsaw guys videos on bars then you'll see how strong the Sugi's are.
