I bought this saw new from the fellow in Malaysia that sells OEM Stihl and Husky saws on this site. Purchased in 2021 as an 070. I also bought the new old stock 090 piston, cylinder, and clutch from him. The 070 piston and cylinder were never run before the switch. Like new 48” bar and chain. Has had less than 4 tanks of fuel through it. No cosmetic or mechanical flaws whatsoever. Runs and cuts just like it’s supposed to. I didn’t have any use for a saw this size when I bought it, and I still don’t! I just always wanted a 090! If memory serves, I have about $2500 in it. I’ll take $1500, and the buyer pays the freight. Not negotiable, if I can’t get that for it, I’ll keep it.

It's nice and I have one as well as an 075 I bought new many years ago and neither of mine are for sale. About the only thing they are good for is heavy timber bucking and it takes a 'real man' to even start them, let alone use them as they are absurdly heavy as well as cumbersome. Your price reflects the inflated dollar I will say.

Man, nice saw. Local dealer has a H3120 on shelf. I stood there and looked at it for too long trying to figure out how the heck I could use it. Sadly, just turned and walked away. Have S051 with 36” bar, good work out when using, big enough for my trees. Glad you scratched that itch!

I had a neighbor that had a pair of them when I was a kid. He cut some of the last virgin hardwood around here with them. I watched him buck some pretty big rounds with it, and decided that I had to have one when I grew up. Like the fellow above stated, it only shows out in really big wood. In 36” or less, the smaller higher rpm saw will beat it. In the big stuff, it has the muscle to stay pulling when the smaller saw bogs down. I’m still sticking firm on my price though, I’m only asking a bit over half what I have in it.

Wonder if he can get an 090G? I could have a pair then.... I've spent my money on worse superfluous things in the past and so long as my wife don't get wind of it, it's all good. If she can buy a 100 grand Suburban......??

The 090G has long been out of production. I have had a lot of them. I am down to just two now.

In reality I need another one like I need a new wife... The one I have is sitting high up on a shelf, devoid of gas and oil, collecting shop dust. I do love the sound of the 090's and 075's. They sound to me like the old 60's 2 stroke MX bikes. In a way, reminds me of my long gone 460 Husky.

I sold a Jonsered XD to a guy in Delaware a few months ago. We talked on the phone a few times. He said he used to collect wives but now he collects saws. They are cheaper and you can sleep with a new one without the others getting pissed.

Kind of a toss up for the holidays for me. I really wanted a new Redding T8 Turret press but the retail cost put me off but alas, a guy on another forum I frequent is selling his reloading equipment and I snagged his Redding for half off retail. I'll keep my Rockchucker anyway. I cannot fit the custom built 338 Lapua dies in a Redding, the threaded holes are too small.

Wife is an easy buy, she wants a 150 buck Kohls gift card and everyone else gets a Christmas card.

Just had a load of Omaha steaks delivered. Not cheap but always good. Saws are the last thing on my mind right now but I do need to order a couple bulk rolls of chain, just about out. Been making up a lot of loops for my arborist customers lately.

After 35 years of marital bliss, I could never afford to be rid of my favorite partner.
