True, I'm not sure what I asked, but I'm still happy I asked. (It's been a long week, you guys make screwing off at work fun.)

Here's a real nice tugger...

I feel naked out there unless I have at least 2 saws with me. Gives me a backup if one dies (did today, go 1/2 way through the cut and then lose all power). Finished the few bucking cuts left with the other saw. Or if you stick a saw - that has happened more than once over the years, most recently last Sunday.

I carry MS310 20"/24" (depending on size of tree) and a Husky 51/16". The Husky is the one that died today. Ran it to the Stihl dealer (60 mile roundtrip). They couldn't make it act up so I asked for a new plug, new filter and a chain sharp. I will kiss and hug it when I pick it up tomorrow and tell it "it is all better now".

Just for giggles I checked on a replacement saw. Looks like a MS210 or 240 would do the job ($300/$350). Really don't need one as big as the Husky 51.

Since all my 'wooding' requires stacking the brush it is no loss use the small one brushing and bucking the small limb, set it down, stack brush, pick up the big saw and buck the log down as far as I have cleared and repeat. Gives both saws a cool down period between uses.

That's exactly why I bought the MS200(rear handle) Super-fast and nimble, matched with my 361 its all I need for now. My backup is my old 290 that has never let me down.:rockn:

I usually drag as many saws into the woods with me as I can carry.

Hey theres room in the truck for em, and SHE WHO MUST BE OBEYED sees me loading up 3 or 4 saws and the ole mantra of "BABY I NEED THIS SAW SO I CAN LIMB, BUCK, TRIM, GOOF OFF, MAKE NOISE, SCARE MY FRIENDS...." makes sense to her.:D

Always been sort of fascinated watching them work, they move so much for their size.

I've never been to the coast, but the east shore of Lake Michigan isn't too far way, so I do have the opportunity to see some ocean going ships.

Unfortunately, sometimes unwanted guests hop on those ships, like sea lamprey, zebra mussels, and the new one-Asian ash beetles. DNR has a ban on moving firewood over 50 miles here, trying to keep the bugs from spreading.

I sure hope it doesn't turn out like Dutch Elm disease, that was about all we burnt for firewood when I was a kid because they were dead everywhere. Hardly see a pi.. elm anymore. They figured that came over with some overseas lumber too, if I remember correctly.

I'm sometimes seen loading saws/tools/firearms/or whatever into the truck. "Do you really need to take all that junk?"
"No hon, just want to show my friends."
