I'm glad this thread petered out before I got a chance to chime in for real.

Having a business license merely means you're legally allowed to charge and collect sales tax.  Thankfully, here in Indiana, services are not sales-taxable, so that paperwork headache is unnecessary.

I think we need a king, and a hierarchy of noblemen in this country, so we can have to ask a by-your-leave for every little breath we take.  This system of the government being subservient to the people is for the birds.  NOT!

I don't think that we need MORE red tape. I do however think that we need to find SOME way to keep hackage to a minimum. If ANYBODY can just go and buy the tools, then there will always be a descent hack factor. Educating the public truly is the best way, but sadly there will always be a market for the hacks. If we remove the hacks from the system though, their market goes away with them.

Hackage definition to spur up ones trees and top them because they were too large and needed controlling and removal would up set the neighborhood!

Nick, Do you not like Ayn Rand's writing style or disagree  with her portrayal of the realities of economics? Her personal life was a mess but she understood what she fled in Russia and what socialism in all its guises can do to destroy civilization.
