Had a little blowdown in the woodlot. Grabbed the little 416 off the shelf. I haven't run this one in a long time but she fired right up.
I don't know what market this size saw was aimed at as they made a smaller 345 and a 500 with more power was available with just a little more weight.
This does handle the little bar well and has some zip.

Cool saw. Looks like a top handle but with a rear handle.
 
Shindaiwa saws are great saws. A little heavy but well built and dependable as gravity in my experience with them
