I’m sure this has been covered before, but where does everyone get log peaveys? And which ones do you like? I need something for rolling 30 inch oak logs.
Peavey Manufacturing in Maine- where they were invented. I have a 48", and a 62" for when the shorter one isnt enough. Sometimes even a smaller log needs the bigger one- terrain, length, straightness, limbs and so on all factor in.
I ordered the 60” from here. It seems like a quality product, and really can’t beat the price with $20 off and free shipping. I’d rather have it be too long than too short lol.I still haven't picked one up yet, but I'll probably get this if I do. (Depends if you want a cant or a peavey, they have both, but have a sale on the cants and can get them to 60" length for better leverage.) Wood-Mizer makes a quality USA product. Lot of cheaper ones out there but wouldn't trust them on 30 inch oak. https://woodmizer.com/us/steel-cant-hook

Sounds like you got a deal. I needed a replacement handle for my log carrier, and the shipping was twice the cost of the handle. And here on the West coast, any saw shop carries them.I ordered the 60” from here. It seems like a quality product, and really can’t beat the price with $20 off and free shipping.
