Yo Cowtipper,

I am aware that MBF is a thousand board feet, I was asking if the previously mentioned pricing was per MBF, which I am assuming it is, because those numbers seem off to be paid by tonnage.

I am in southeastern OK, a little town called Boswell, about 21 miles west of Hugo and 30 miles east of Durant along Hwy 70, 10 or so miles north of the red river. You?

What scale are the using there in WV if infact they are paying by MBF? I have been a fan of the Scribner scale, but my mill in upstate NY always used the 1/4" Intl... lots of good arguments over BF.

doh ...Sorry about that... Still have family in Stillwater, spent some time in Oklumgee, and other family in Medford.

It's all good Cow,

yeah, I have been to Okmulgee, and alot of other places around OK. I just moved down there part-time to be with my dad, who retired to OK (even though he has a perfectly good hay farm in Upstate NY) a few years ago. I like it, but the prices on timber down there are rediculously low. I'm talking between 500-650 bucks for a load (5-6 MBF) of Red Oak. It's not even worth cutting it, if you ask me.

Ya its mbf,

but as far as thoes ass backwards prices,

HAHA I know aLOT of would be rich mans if Tulip Poplar brought more than R&W oak.

Our YELLOW poplar is bringing 500 a thousand its right, true, and not backwards. before the mll shut down yellow poplar was the demand and yes it hard to believe they were payin more for it than oak.
