My logsplitter has a 2 stage 11gpm pump and it doesn't seem to shift into low speed higher pressure when splitting---is there any fix for this?

more info please.
does it unload at all, or stay on full flow until it stalls the engine, or just move slow all the time?
cycle time, cylinder size, and pressure at which it unloads or stalls the engine?
Pressure when it stalls the cylinder at end of stroke?

There is an unloading pressure adjustment. That, and relief valve adjustment in the manual control valve, are simple to adjust.

I don't have a pressure gauge on it but it does not unload and stalls at the end of the stroke--4" x 24" cylinder--I will time it later--I don't see markings on the pump but looks like a Haldex model 1001689---

If it only stalls the engine at the end of the stroke when splitting wood the pump is probably working but the relief in the control valve is either set to high or the valve does not have an internal relief.
