Long bar covers - scabbards???

How about a short cloth rifle scabbard? They can be had pretty cheap sometimes.

You never have used a chainsaw have you, Rex? Why not use a cello case, it would be about the right size and you could carry your lunch in it too!

Ha ha. I've used saws quite extensively, but never bothered with covering them up or tucking them in at night. I ride them hard and put them away wet.

Stihl makes some extentable covers for longer bars, and I have seen one that you added 12" sections too make them longer. I just use the 20" covers, protects the tip which I think takes most of the abuse anyway.
