Not too long ago there was a post about storing saws for the winter. Most either stored dry or wet. But what about long term storage? How does everyone do this? Maybe this is more of a collectors question but I was just curious. So store dry vs. wet for long time storage????

Really long term,I'd start the saw and let it warm up, drain the bar oil and flush the oil tank out with stuff I drained out of the fuel tank. With both tanks empty re-start the saw and let it idle itself dry, no throttle play here the saw will be lean. Keep trying to start the saw until it is clearly out of fuel. Let the saw sit for a few days with the fuel and oil caps off, tkae measures to ensure nothing gets into the tanks.
