The transfers are still blocked by the cylinder. You may want to grind some more on it and make it look more like this one.

how big of a hole did u drill for ur mm? I modded my 2172 & 2159 the same way. I drilled a 1/2" hole and dremeled it out to around 5/8". I might go even more on the 2172.

You can open that muffler up much more and see good results. Simply opening up the lower transfers and adding some port width and timing without even touching the uppers adds a LOT of torque to those 365's. I had one pulling a 24" bar in hardwoods and stumping with it easily.

The 390 and 2165 sounded like they were running a little fat. But nice working saws nonetheless

ms 250 sounded the same way,real fat.These saws clean up in the cut only because you push them real hard.You should lean them a little on the high side.
